Escapism is one of the most intriguing experiences to me. This may open ways to explaining my spontaneity, or my lack of interest in things before my eyes at times. My mom was a MSGT and my father was a TSGT in the Air Force. I was traveling around until we moved to Georgia in 2000 was a pretty hefty experience for someone my age. I went through my emo-I-miss-my-cool-friends moods and anything else negative to constantly moving. It wasn’t so bad though. I enveloped myself in gaming, specifically Role-Playing Games via console rather than P&P or e-RPGs. The first RPG ever introduced to me was Final Fantasy IV, and all hell broke loose. But after my skill honing and maturing my interests in regards to this industry, sharing my opinions at times at ALLRPG, I noticed that RPGs have been my top modal escapist activities to the real world. It is probably why I cannot help splurge buying the games rather than putting gas in the car. Heh, but after starting college now, more interests such as Art History, or interests stimulated from my AP Physics course in high school are becoming much more frequent in my daily life. Hopefully this blog [to any viewer] will allow me to envelope others into my escapism (read: “fandom”).
